Child Marriage is legal in 27 states, and in many of those girls aged 15 and under can only marry if they are pregnant. These are commonly known as the ‘marry-your-rapist’ loopholes due to the conflict with statutory rape laws that are there to protect minors. This film examines why these laws exist and whether America’s child brides would be better off if their grooms were behind bars.
